The Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy for Stress is based on MBCT with particular practices from Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). Both are established mindfulness courses, scientifically proven to help people cope better with stress and teach them to cultivate a profound sense of wellbeing and resilience in face of life´s challenges.
The programme consists of eight, 2-hour sessions and a half-day retreat. Through guided meditations, group dialogue and home assignments, you will learn variety of practices and explore the essential principles of mindfulness.
The course will be facilitated by Alena Lašková under supervision of the University of Exeter. She follows Good Practice Guidelines for mindfulness teachers in the UK and will be filmed for the purpose of the assessment. This programme is designed for general population without any psychological disorder or mental illness.
