Workshop for Mindfulness Teachers, Psychologists and Academics by Professor Anne Speckens from Radboud University Medical Center, Netherlands

How do we move mindfulness from theory into real-world clinical practice? And what does it take to sustainably implement mindfulness-based interventions (MBIs) within complex healthcare systems?

In this advanced, research-informed workshop, Professor Anne Speckens—psychiatrist, academic, and founder of the Radboudumc Centre for Mindfulness—will share insights from over 15 years of implementing mindfulness in clinical care. She will reflect on the challenges her team faced when introducing MBIs into hospital structures, training clinicians, and designing interventions for diverse patient groups including those with depression, ADHD, cancer, and neurological conditions.

The workshop will include practical meditations and reflections, and explore key lessons from clinical research and implementation science. Particular focus will be given to the role of eHealth in making mindfulness more accessible and scalable within healthcare. This session is designed for those looking to bridge scientific evidence with hands-on application—ethically, sustainably, and with clinical depth.
